[DIM] the GazettE



this is waiting for me at the post office T^T
i must have slept through the mail man ringing the bell and the dog barking at him. when i woke up the mailbox was full and the orange ticket was sitting in there. i need to mail out some packages today anyway so i'll be in. i've waited how many months to hear it, one more day won't kill me.

lol~ so i just finished watching the pv and the making footage and now i'm listening to the album. from what i've seen of it so far i'm really impressed. i opened the box and pulled off the bubble wrap -omg- the cover moves @_@ it has that plastic material that changes images if you move it from side to side (did i explain that right). i had no idea the jacket was like that. the album comes with a booklet that is full of really gorgeous photography. they're mostly landscapes and interiors with long dark shadows and no people.

i didn't watch the preview of the invisible wall pv so it was awesome to see that for the first time. some of the imagery was really creepy. the water dripping all over the place creeped me out somehow. it was really repetitive though... and i wish they didn't use so much english. ruki's gloves are stupid and uruha's hair is amazing. so amazing ♥

some of their songs have sounded too repetitive lately, the ballad type songs especially sound almost the same. this album has a lot more of the hard rock that i like from them. the instrumentals are really impressive too, they're really complex without sounding over the top or too distorted. the instrumentals in 13STAIRS[-]1 are so cool. uruha is amazing ♥ i don't like the vocals though T^T

oh and there are 4 songs on there that are really short - each one is under a minute - and they're just instrumentals.

i have to listen to it some more but there are a few songs on there that i like instantly. it's a strong album and i can't wait to see these songs live.

yesterday was a lame day.
what makes you think it's perfectly fine to be rude and nasty to a complete stranger? just leave me alone.

i went to the swedish days parade and carnival in lolita.
i have to stop going out after work, it makes me so sick and tired. bleh~ it was still a nice casual day though.
oh but i got to go the latest crave~ i've wanted to see the shop front and check out the cupcakes since they opened. the place is really small and cute but i'd hate to go during any peak hours. the cupcake selection is not impressive, i don't think they have anything really worth the price. there was one called a jack and jill that was like filled with fudge and a marshmallow iced in buttercream and covered with ganache. sounds really sweet. i got a red velvet which was kinda boring, it had buttercream icing and a little red chocolate garnish. i also got a chocolate cake with buttercream icing~ that one was good. the chocolate was moist and not too rich. the buttercream on both had a strong vanilla flavor too.
if i'm ever in town again i'd stop in but i'd never make a special trip for their cupcakes.



today was much better.
i got to sleep for 10 hours uninterrupted~ bliss.
i went to mitsuwa just to see what magazines they had because i feel like i haven't shopped there in a while. i'm so happy i did too, because i got this:



it was the last one on the shelf too ♥ but... why is ruki in this magazine? the first half is a just pictures of him hiding the shadows or in an alley somewhere and the second half is all about k-pop bands, adorable baby faced brightly colored korean boy bands. it was a weird contrast.

i got a really tasty roll cake too~ it was on sale. and the bakery actually had chicken salad sandwiches today. i love their chicken salad so much and i have no idea why. i think it has cucumber or something like it. their sandwiches don't have any crust either, that must be why they taste so good.

i've been wearing lolita a lot more often since the weather has been so nice. i wore it today without even thinking about it and when i pulled into the parking lot i realized what i was wearing and couldn't get out of the car. is it in really bad taste to wear something like that to a japanese store? i felt like a weeaboo but walked inside anyway... is it in bad taste to use the word weeaboo...?
i just like poofy skirts ok.



i don't wear this dress much because it's white and i have a tendency to stain anything white very easily.
it's so pretty though and i wish it fit on me nicely without underthings so i could enjoy it in the summer.

today was ruki's birthday.
i sent him a present a few days ago and today i made cookies and cupcakes (semi-unrelated).



the gift i sent was a red plaid scarf.
i've been wanting to send something the last 2 years.


the cookies are shortbread with tons of icing and sugar.

cupcakes are:
yellow with chocolate custard filling, lemon buttercream icing with glitter and hearts.

chocolate with fudge filling, cream cheese icing with chocolate sprinkles and hearts.

my moo stickers finally came after more than 2 weeks waiting for them.



they're so cool but i don't know where to stick them.
originally i wanted to send them to gazemail members but now i want to keep the pretty little book for myself.
the quality of the sticker is really awesome but i don't know if it was worth the price... they are gorgeous though.

sweeeeet - i used to love love love this show. wow, i couldn't pick a favorite episode. i think i generally liked the stand alone episodes better than the story arc ones. some of the arcs were good. i never really liked the scully getting abducted one but i did like the black oil experiments, the russians and krycek. he was so cool because he was a good guy at first then OMG totally working for the syndicate. awesome. OHHHH but he got his arm cut off. that was gross. ohhh i hated when they burned down the office... what a way to end the season. god i used to get the magazine @_@ HA and i wanted the playstation game @___@ i didn't have a system so i borrowed one and rented the game. i got killed so many times xD

ha that was such a spazzy paragraph. i used to be really excited watching the series. i taped all of the episodes every sunday night. i remember when it started getting really popular, fox would have a countdown ticker on the screen hours before the first episode of a new season began. when the first movie was released that was the epic moment of my life. i was so excited that it was on the big screen. of course i later bought the video -yes vhs- and the movie soundtrack. now that i think about it, it was a really nice fandom. i never went to any sci-fi conventions and the internet wasn't really around back then so there wasn't a flush of annoying fans like there are with my current fandoms. all of the things that i've started to like have been totally destroyed by "fans" but the x-files will never be tainted xD the new movie was kinda lame though =(

there was a car that i used to see around town, god way back in 96 or something. it had a license plate that read "x phile" i nerd laughed about every time i saw it. file, phile as in like, get it? HAAA, i love nerds. i saw the car parked somewhere and i took a picture of that license plate. i don't know where the photo is... i used to have my room decorated with x-files stuff. posters, calendars, aliens. i even cut the hair on one of my barbies and colored it red with markers. i made her different kinds of business suits and a cell phone. i don't know where she is either... i miss the x-files and i miss life being so simple.

this entry is making me sad and nostalgic now xD

i was just on baby the stars shine bright's website because i'm still waiting for them to open a store in the US -grr- well i see they're looking for a manager for the san fransisco store *melts*

i'm making a trip over there. i was tempted to fly to paris when news of that store opened but rumor of a US store was going around at the same time. HOPEFULLY the sizes will be a little bigger. i'm like 2 inches too big to fit into the dresses without shirring.

today was such a slow lazy uneventful day =)
it rained the entire day.
i went bowling and ate at cheeseburger in paradise. i've never been there but it seemed a little grimy. not quite a "dump" but close to it... the cheeseburger wasn't too bad though.

i started searching ticket and hotel prices for a few jrock lives happening in the next eight months. i really don't think i'm going to the peace and smile show... it's PSC's 10th anniversary, all of their bands will be there and it's at budokan. it seems so cool but i'm afraid to go by myself and i haven't found someone who speaks japanese to go with me. i'm terrified of getting lost.

i've decided to see girugamesh in seattle but i haven't booked anything yet. it's gonna be about $600 so i'll save a little before then.

i'm also planning on mucc in new york but going there scares me too. i just feel so claustrophobic thinking about all of the people. xDD i get nervous looking at maps of manhattan. but god i love the new single and i'd love to see them again as a oneman.

the one live that i am going to soon is dir en grey. it's on a wednesday which is awesome - why can't other bands perform in the middle of the week, traveling is cheaper and easier. they're coming to the house of blues in chicago and i've wanted to go there for a while. it seems really cool.

the tickets were advertised as $27 but after ridiculous ticketmaster fees and such they turned out to be $45. ha, nice one. i'm just happy it's an easy venue to get to and i've been to the area before =D



i got cool mail today =D
my jonas brothers shirt came but it's kinda big =( i ordered an adult medium thinking it would be like a girls/teen adult medium and not a unisex huge medium. i'll have to sew it a smaller size so i don't look like a potato sack. i also got a jonas brothers postcard in the mail xD see cool mail day. i said something like "why are they so cool? they totally have gay coming out of their ears".

i think i have a bad diet - well i know i have a bad diet... it's not balanced at all.
i'm always tired and today was a really sleepy day. taking sugar just made it worse.

i wanted to see "the ProvidencE" for a few months now but just couldn't afford the ticket. someone in vancouver was going to get the live ticket for me and everything - the air fare is just to high. today i went to check their OHP which i haven't done in a month. i wanted to know how things were going since the live is this sunday. jin has been really busy and the concert sounds so exciting. it would have been a fun trip spending the weekend in vancouver to see jrock. hopefully some other time.

i'm still thinking about diru... it's like picking daisy petals. do i wanna see them - do i not want to see them. do i want to get trampled - do i not want to get trampled.

here we go, actually journaling today =D

i didn't have work for the first time in a week so i kinda did a lot today.
went to richard walkers pancake house for breakfast. i got a ham and cheese omelet with hash browns and wheat toast. it was really good but way too much food for me =(
i had to get a box...

later on i did some shopping, which i haven't done in a while. the weather was amazing today. beautiful, sunny and cool. perfect driving weather. i got some pastries and snacks at mitsuwa and the september issue of shoxx. it didn't come with a poster. i have a feeling it fell out or was taken. i don't think shoxx stopped the posters.



i also went clothes shopping but i'm so picky that after looking at a dozen stores
i only got two things at forever 21.


i can't wear it much longer since it's getting colder but it was on sale for $10 and i love this kind of summer dress.


soooo comfy. it has a cool baggy fit but doesn't look sloppy.

for the last few weeks i've been joking about the jonas brothers. i have no idea why they are so frighteningly popular. i've never heard their music and i don't know anything about them but i want a t-shirt with their faces on it =D it's like a kat-tun thing, i don't like their music but i think they're cute =D actually i find the jonas' dweeby and not cute but i still want a shirt. today made me get one because i saw two girls wearing the same shirt. the first one was at forever 21 and i almost bugged her about it but i think i may have come off as a creepy old lady since she looked like 12. i saw another girl wearing one at kohls. i went to a few stores looking for something but the only thing i found was a really small pink shirt at clare's. i found so much hannah montana, high school musical and something called camp rock. so i did a search online and just ordered something =)
